Day 1: Fly into Changchun · Start at the Bathhouse

Fly direct from Hong Kong (about 3.5 hours), then a private car and guide bring you to the Hyatt Changchun in about 50 minutes. By night, go straight to the soul of the northeast — the bathhouse: soak, scrub, feast and chat, and feel local in an instant.

Day 2: A Changchun Day of Ice & Fire

Step into the Puppet Emperor’s Palace in the morning — one building, half a century of Republican drama. In the afternoon, a 50-minute drive brings you to Changchun Ice & Snow New World, where towering ice sculptures rise as the lights ignite after dark. Back in your warm Changchun nest for the night.

Day 3: Into the Mountains · Play Before You Stay

After breakfast, board the G3529 high-speed rail (08:19–11:00) to Changbaishan West, then head straight to the century-old mountain village of Jinjiang: cut paper window flowers with a master craftsman and bite into candied hawthorn chilled crisp in the snow. Check into the Hyatt/Park Hyatt Wanda by evening — slopes right outside your door.

Day 4: A Full Day of Free Skiing

No early start, no rushing — the slopes are literally at your door. Beginners book an instructor, experts charge the powder. For dinner, sizzling volcanic-stone barbecue with an ice-cold beer rounds off a perfect day.

Day 5: Ice-Lake Fishing · On to Erdaobaihe

This morning holds your only chance at ice-lake winter fishing — a ‘laobatou’ leads the ice-cutting and net-hauling — followed by a steaming iron-pot stew on the heated kang at a local home. Then transfer to Erdaobaihe and the Zaizhihe resort, where the afternoon belongs to the outdoor private onsen.

Day 6: A Fairy-Tale Day at Xueling

The Xueling triple play — a snowmobile roaring into the forest, reindeer gathering around you for wall-worthy photos, and a horse-drawn sleigh drifting downhill like a fairy tale. Back at the hotel, another soak seals the day.

Day 7: Mojie Drifting · UTV Forest Safari

Drift through Mojie in the early mist, rime frost lining both banks like a fairy realm; in the afternoon, take a UTV into the birch woods and tear across the snowfields. A final onsen soothes you into the last night.

Day 8: Homeward Bound, Hearts Full

After breakfast, board the C1305 high-speed rail (09:46–11:58) back to Changchun Longjia — an 800-metre walk (10–15 min) to the airport, no tedious transfers — and fly HU7915 (15:40–20:30) home to Hong Kong, ending an 8-day, 7-night winter escape.
