Day 2: Ancient Art & Desert Fun

The Dunhuang Museum unfolds its treasures through a top guide’s storytelling, then a mural-painting workshop puts real Dunhuang clay in your hands. At the golden hour, ride camels over the Singing Sand Dunes beside Crescent Lake, cooler and calmer than the midday sun.

Day 3: Future Tech & Desert Feast

Stand beneath the Solar Expo Park’s tower plant, where thousands of mirrors chase the sun, and build your own solar craft. At dusk, a desert banquet unfolds in silk tents — kids sand-sled into the sunset, adults toast the coming stars.

Day 4: Thousand-Year Mogao

Two 8K dome films at the Digital Center set the stage, then expert guides lead you through Mogao’s grottoes — including special caves closed to ordinary visitors. As night falls, Wang Chaoge’s Encore Dunhuang walking show lets you live the millennium rather than merely watch it.

Day 5: The Open Desert

Choose your grandeur: the West Route to earn an “ancient passport” at Yangguan and jeep into Yadan Devil City’s wind-carved pillars — or the East Route to the sleeping Earth Baby of Guazhou and the quiet, beautifully preserved Yulin Caves.
